Market
Link’s PR team of Steve Paddock and Michele Turner
were recently involved in the launch of a major new
commercial property development in Brierley Hill –
on a waterside site overlooking the Merry Hill Shopping
centre.
Developers Westfield who own shopping
centres around the world, are planning to build two
major new office buildings at Daniels Wharf along with
a major apartment development that will provide up to
180 new homes on the site too.
To get the development off to
a flying start, an event was held in the adjacent Copthorne
Hotel to which all relevant parties were invited –
property agents, current occupiers of other properties
in the vicinity, potential occupiers, the media and
of course dignitaries and members of local authority
and related bodies in the Black Country.
But this was an event with a difference.
A ‘live’ TV broadcast was set up in the
hotel’s conference suite, with TV personality
Paul Hendy as compere and celebrity chef Brian Turner
there to cook the attendees lunch live on stage! The
half hour presentation worked really well and the event
has achieved significant media coverage generated by
Market Link PR on the back of the impressive new development
that will kick-start a huge regeneration project for
the area that will see massive investment over the next
ten years and more.
“It was a really good event
with praise from all angles for how it went and for
Brian who was magnificent,” said namesake Michele
Turner. “The media who attended were fascinated
by it all and its an idea we might well roll out again
for clients in the future!”
